The man who runs GBGEEKS.COM Started out as Chef Paul. I was a Chef that had a hobby of playing with Computers. I had a passion for cooking that took me to the CIA (Culinary Institute of America) Not that shady place in Washington. I took a course on basic computer and found that I know had two passions. So I bought my first Commodore 64. I learned how it worked and how to communicate with a modem I was slowly becoming a Computer Head.
I had my first PC it was a Leading Edge Model using dos 2.2 Alright
CPU……………… 8088, 4.77Mhz
RAM……………. 640k
Video…………….EGA Color,B/W
DiskDrives……. 360k 5.25
HardDrives……. 20Mb
I it was at this time that the new computers were coming out the 286
It was pretty expensive 2400 dollars but I wanted it so bad. It had 4 megs of ram 30 Meg hard drive and a lighting 2400 baud modem.
I became a member of Fido Net and had my own BBS. Learning more and more about the computer world. I upgraded to the 386,486 and then the big step the Pentium. Yes this was 1995 and the new Operating system was coming out Windows 95. I bought an Aptiva P100. This was when that new thing the INTERNET was becoming Popular. I walked into Lakeville Internet and asked (is this were I buy a surfboard to surf the internet?) I learned how to set up internet connection for all my friends computers and thought this was real cool I stopped at the ISP and asked did they need help doing this they said yes and I now had a Job as Tech Support.
So 12 years later and 29 computer systems I now am the owner of GBGEEKS.COM. A lot of stories and a lot of experience all at your disposal. Call me and I will see if I can help.
